Our project is about planting trees and test the knowledge about environmental pollution of students in Izmir, Turkey and Wetzikon, Switzerland. Are collaboration partners Elif and Reyda. The forest fires in Turkey were the reason why we decided to do this project. We want to plant maple. There will be a post on dontwastemyenergy about our project real soon.
Our team consists four members:
Reyda and Elif from Izmir, Turkey.
Florian and Jasmin from Wetzikon, Switzerland.

Challenges:
Firstly we were not able to get in contact with the Tiefbauamt Wetzikon. When we finally had the ability to call them, they hadn't any good information for us. They told us it's to difficult to plant in Wetzikon on privat and as well public places.
Our collaboration partners are at the moment no that supportive. We try to get pictures of them but they're no sending any. We hope they will in further future.
One of our collaboration partner left the group. It seems that Arda (member that left) wasn't that interested in a group project to help the environement.
Chances:
We asked Florians neighbour if we could plant our trees in her forest. She was delighted of our idea and gave us the permission to plant the trees. So we are planning now on planting trees in her forest or in Jasmins garden.
The form we filled in was very helpful to realise what we still have to do. We now know that we need to ask our partners, which school they visit and much more.

Hallo Miteinander
Im Fach Technik und Umwelt haben wir die Möglichkeit ein Collaboration Project, also ein Projekt mit Schülern aus dem Ausland, durchzuführen. In unserem Fall ist es uns gelungen unser Projekt unser Projekt mit drei SchülerInnen aus der Türkei zu machen. Es besteht aus einer Umfrage über das Wissen von Umweltverschmutzung und das Pflanzen von Bäumen sowohl in der Türkei als auch in der Schweiz.
Es würde uns freuen, wenn ihr uns unterstützen könntet, indem ihr die untenstehende Umfrage ausfüllt.

Collaboration partners
Our collaboration partners were until now very encuraged and helpful. We hope they also will be that way in future but we're not doubting it.
Survey
Shortly after we've sent the survey to the students in Izmir, Turkey we've recieved some answers. The number of responses was limited. So after we asked our collaboration partners they were alright with sending the survey again to other students. After that we were satisfied with the number we got. We recieved 22 responses. But we still need to evaluate the replies.
Planting trees
Through the research we learned more about trees.
We will be adding more to this post after we've experienced more.
Our research questions
1. How much do students know about the environmental pollution?
2. What circumstances are necessary for a tree to grow big and old?
3. How many trees will we be able to plant?
1. We have sent our survey to students from Izmir and from Wetzikon. It's very equal in both countrys there are people who are very well informed about environmental pollution and there are other people who are less informed. We were extraordinary impressed about one student from Switzerland who knew exactly how the greenhouse-effect works. Maybe she googled the topic and copyed it from Wikipedia but nobody knows.

Collaboration partners
Our Collaboration Partners are very engaged and we have the same goal. They also contribute a lot and our conversations are very relaxed.
For example one of our collaboration partners asked us in the christmas holidays if we already ahve the survey. That showed us that they are very goal oriented.
Survey
We first had a few problems with the survey because the link changed every time we recognized spelling mistake. But in the end we corrected everything and had the final link.
Planting trees
We have done some research but we didn't found much already about "how to plant trees". But we came to the solution that we aren't allowed to plant random trees in the town. So we have to call the "Stadtverwaltung" or the "Tiefbauamt" and ask them if and where we can plant our trees. If they don't allow us to plant some trees we have another plan: Florian has a neigbhour who owns a forest. We could ask her if it is a problem if we plant our trees in her forest.
